Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And those that strike violently, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
