The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul of the disbeliever. 1 and those that blow gently, 2 And by those that swim along (i.e. angels or planets in their orbits, etc.). 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 and then manage the affairs of the Universe (according to their Lord's commands). 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 even after we are fragmented bones' 11 They say, "That, then, would be a losing return." 12 However, it will only take a single blast 13 to bring them out of their graves and back to life on the earth's surface. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 Go to Firon, surely he has become inordinate. 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 And thereupon God took him to task, [and made him] a warning example in the life to come as well as in this world. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
