He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 Because the blind man had come in his august presence. 2 What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace) 3 Or be reminded and the remembrance would benefit him? 4 As for him who is not in want of any thing, 5 So you are after him! 6 Though it is no blame to thee if he grow not (in spiritual understanding). 7 And for him who came to you striving, 8 and in awe of God 9 him didst thou disregard! 10 No indeed; it is a Reminder 11 so let those who want to follow its guidance do so. 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 noble and pious. 16 Perish Man! How unthankful he is! 17 From what did He create him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then He caused him to die and be buried 21 then, when He wills, He raises him. 22 Certainly, he has not duly fulfilled His commands. 23 Let man consider his food: 24 How We pour water in showers 25 Then We cleave the earth, cleaving (it) asunder, 26 Thereby produced grain in it. 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 and olives and palms, 29 And gardens, dense with many trees, 30 And fruits and grasses: 31 (These are made so as to be) means of enjoyment for you and your cattle. 32 At length, when there comes the Deafening Noise,- 33 On the Day whereon a man shall flee from his brother, 34 and his mother and his father; 35 wife and sons, 36 For every man, that Day, will be a matter adequate for him. 37 On that day faces will be bright as dawn, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news. 39 And some faces will on that Day with dust be covered, 40 Blackness will cover them. 41 Such will be the Rejecters of Allah, the doers of iniquity. 42
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
End of Surah: He Frowned ('Abasa). Sent down in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
