Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
