The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER the sky full of great constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King). 4 Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel, 5 As they sat around it 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise! 8 [and] to whom the dominion of the heavens and the earth belongs. But God is witness unto everything! 9 Surely for those who persecute believers, men and women, and do not repent afterwards, is the punishment of Hell, and the punishment of burning. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He only is the Oft Forgiving, the Beloved of His bondmen. 14 Honorable Owner of the Throne, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but the unbelievers still cry lies, 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 Nay, this is a Glorious Qur'an, 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
