The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night as it envelops; 1 And by oath of the day when it shines 2 and That which created the male and the female, 3 That your endeavour is for different ends. 4 So for one who gave and practised piety 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 We shall surely ease him to the Easing. 7 As for him who was a miser and behaved with aversion (to Allah), 8 and rejects what is right, 9 Surely We will ease his way unto adversity. 10 and his wealth shall be of no avail to him when he perishes. 11 Surely, in Our hands is guidance, 12 And to Us belong the End and the Beginning. 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 None shall roast therein but the most wretched, 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 But the righteous one will avoid it - 17 He who spends his wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 and confers no favour on any man for recompense, 19 but only to seek the good pleasure of his Lord Most High. 20 and before long he will be well satisfied. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
