By no means! By the moon, 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Surely, it is one of the gravest things, 35 A warning to mankind, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 except the Companions of the Right. 39 Sitting in the gardens, asking 40 concerning the sinners, 41 “What took you into the hell?” 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 And we have not been feeding the poor. 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 "And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 So the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. (The disbelievers will not have any intercessor.) 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were startled donkeys – 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
