I say the truth, and call the moon to witness, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 a warning to humankind, 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Save the fellows of the right. 39 who will be in Paradise 40 Of evil-doers: 41 [And asking them], "What put you into Saqar?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 we indulged in vain arguments along with those who indulged in them; 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 In fact every one of them wants to be given open books like the prophets. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 Let him who will take heed: 55 But none will remember, unless Allah wills, He is the Owner of fear, the Owner of forgiveness. 56
