Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the dipersing winds that disperse. 1 which carry clouds laden with water, 2 And those who move (on the water) gently, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 What you are promised is certainly true: 5 And verily, the Recompense is sure to happen. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Turned aside therefrom is who is turned aside. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 They ask: “When will the Day of Judgement be?” 12 (It is) the day when they will be tormented at the Fire, 13 (And told:) "Taste your punishment. This is what you were trying to hasten." 14 [But,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves amid gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the dawns they prayed for forgiveness. 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 And on the earth there are signs for those who would be convinced. 20 And in your own souls (too); will you not then see? 21 And in the heaven is your provision and whatever you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur’an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
