And Aaron had already told them before [the return of Moses], "O my people, you are only being tested by it, and indeed, your Lord is the Most Merciful, so follow me and obey my order." 90 They replied, "We shall not cease to worship it until Moses returns to us." 91 Moses said to Aaron, "What prevented you, when you saw that they had gone astray, 92 So that you did not follow me? Did you then disobey my order? 93 He [Harun (Aaron)] said: "O son of my mother! Seize (me) not by my beard, nor by my head! Verily, I feared lest you should say: 'You have caused a division among the Children of Israel, and you have not respected my word!' " 94 Said [Moses]: "What, then, didst thou have in view, O Samaritan?" 95 He said: I saw (Jibreel) what they did not see, so I took a handful (of the dust) from the footsteps of the messenger, then I threw it in the casting; thus did my soul commend to me 96 'Depart!' said Moses. It will be a grievous burden for them on the Day of Judgement, 101 the Day when the Trumpet shall be sounded and We shall muster the sinners, their eyes turned blue with terror. 102 Mutterin among themselves: ye tarried not save ten days. 103 We know well what they will say.
