Do not those who deny the truth see that the heavens and the earth were joined together and that We then split them asunder? And that We have made every living thing out of water? Will they still not believe? 30 And We have placed on the earth firm mountains, lest it should shake with them, and We placed therein broad highways for them to pass through, that they may be guided. 31 And We have made the heavens as a canopy well guarded: yet do they turn away from the Signs which these things (point to)! 32 And He it is Who hath created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon, each in an orb floating. 33 AND [remind those who deny thee, O Prophet, that] never have We granted life everlasting to any mortal before thee: but do they, perchance, hope that although thou must die, they will live forever?" 34 Every human being is bound to taste death; and We test you [all] through the bad and the good [things of life] by way of trial: and unto Us you all must return. 35 When the unbelievers see you, they take you only for mockery, saying: 'Is this he who talks about your gods' While they are unbelievers in the Remembrance of the Merciful. 36 Man was created of haste, surely I shall show you My signs, so ask Me not to hasten. 37 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 38 If only those who disbelieve have known of the time when they shall not be able to ward off from their faces the Fire nor from their backs, nor shall they be succoured! 39 The fire will suddenly strike and confound them. They will not be able to repel it, nor will they be given any respite. 40 Before you, other Messengers were mocked, but the mockers were encompassed by the very thing they mocked. 41
