The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and move [in their orbits] with steady motion, 2 by those that swim serenely 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 and will be followed by the second one, 7 On that Day will [men's] hearts be throbbing, 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 When we have become bones decayed! 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 So they will immediately be in an open plain. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 "Go to the Pharaoh who has become refractory, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 and hastily turned away, 22 and gathered his people together 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
