And recite to them the story of Ibrahim. 69 when he asked his father and his people, "What is that which you worship?" 70 They said, “We worship idols, and we keep squatting in seclusion before them.” 71 Said he: "Do [you really think that] they hear you when you invoke them, 72 "Or do you good or harm?" 73 They said: "No. But we found our fathers doing so." 74 (Abraham) said, "Do you know that what you worship 75 and what your grandfathers worshipped 76 Surely they are enemies to me, but not (so) the Lord of the worlds; 77 who created me; and He guides me, 78 and is the One who gives me to eat and to drink, 79 And when I sicken, then He healeth me. 80 And He Who will cause me to die, then give me life; 81 and who, [hope, will forgive me my faults on Judgment Day! 82 My Lord, give me judgment, and join me with the righteous. 83 give me a good name among later generations; 84 and make me of those who will inherit the Garden of Bliss, 85 And forgive my father. Lo! he is of those who err. 86 "And let me not be in disgrace on the Day when (men) will be raised up;- 87 the Day when nothing will avail, neither wealth nor offspring, 88 Except him who comes to Allah with a heart free (from evil). 89 And the Garden will be brought nigh for those who ward off (evil). 90 And the (Hell) Fire will be placed in full view of the erring. 91 And it shall be said unto them where is that which ye were wont to worship? 92 Beside Allah? Can they succour you or succour themselves? 93 So they shall be thrown down into it, they and the erring ones, 94 And the hosts of Iblis, together. 95 They will say while contending therein, 96 By Allah, we have indeed been in an error manifest. 97 When we made you equal to the Lord of the worlds; 98 "'And our seducers were only those who were steeped in guilt. 99 Now we have no intercessors 100 Nor any sincere friend. 101 O that we might return again, and be among the believers!' 102 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 103 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 104

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
