▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay! By the moon 32 and by the night when it recedes, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 This is but one of the mighty (portents), 35 a warning to humankind, 36 to everyone of you, whether he chooses to come forward or to hang back! 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 About Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, criminals, disbelievers, etc.), (And they will say to them): 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we plunged along with the plungers, 45 and we cried lies to the Day of Doom, 46 until death approached us". 47 Then there will not profit them intercesion of the interceders. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 fleeing from a lion? 51 Yea, everyone of them claims that he [himself] ought to have been given revelations unfolded! 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 Let any who will, keep it in remembrance! 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
