Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say, "It (facts about the supremacy of God) is the greatest message, 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 I had no knowledge of the High Council when they disputed. 69 I am told (about matters) by means of revelation only because I am a clear warner.” 70 When your Lord said to the angels; Surely I am going to create a mortal from dust: 71 So when I have proportioned him and breathed into him of My [created] soul, then fall down to him in prostration." 72 So all the angels prostrated themselves 73 except Iblis. He waxed proud and became one of the unbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "I am better than he, You created me from fire, and You created him from clay." 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 and My curse shall remain upon you till the Day of Resurrection.” 78 He said, “My Lord! Therefore give me respite till the day when all will be raised.” 79 (Allah) said: "Verily! You are of those allowed respite 80 Until the Day of the time appointed. 81 (Iblis) said: “By Your glory, I shall mislead them all 82 Other than the chosen ones among Your creatures." 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for this, and I am no simulating. 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 And you will surely know [the truth of] its information after a time." 88
