The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is overthrown, 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 when the ten-months pregnant camels shall be abandoned, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 when the records of men's deeds are laid open, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And Paradise brought near, 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 by the night swarming, 17 and the morning when it extends, 18 [That] indeed, the Qur'an is a word [conveyed by] a noble messenger 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 The Quran is not the word of condemned satan. 25 So whither do you stray? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
