Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 And when the mountains are driven. 3 When the she-camels, ten months with young, are left untended; 4 And when the wild animals are made to go forth, 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 and when the blazing fire [of hell] is kindled bright, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So, I call the receding stars to witness, 15 That run their course (and) hide themselves, 16 And by the night as it closes in 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 The one who is obeyed, and trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he truly saw him on the clear horizon; 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 So whither do you stray? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 Though you cannot desire except as God will, the Lord of all the worlds. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
