Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When the sky is cleft asunder; 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 then everyone will know what he has sent ahead, and what he has left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 No! But you deny the Recompense. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble recorders, 11 who know all that you do: 12 Indeed, the righteous shall (live) in bliss. 13 and the evil-doers will be in hell 14 roasting therein on the Day of Doom, 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what shall teach thee what is the Day of Doom? 18 It is a Day whereon no soul shall own aught of power for any soul; and the command on that Day will be Allah's. 19
True are the words of God the Almighty.
