The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 And have you understood what the nightly arriver is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 That issueth from between the loins and the breast-bones. 7 God has all power to resurrect him. 8 The Day when all the secrets (deeds, prayers, fasting, etc.) will be examined (as to their truth). 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 not a flippant jest. 14 Lo! they plot a plot (against thee, O Muhammad) 15 But I am planning a plan. 16 So allow time for the disbelievers. Leave them awhile. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
