The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the midday brightness 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 Thy Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased. 3 And indeed the latter is better for you than the former. 4 And verily, your Lord will give you (all i.e. good) so that you shall be well-pleased. 5 Has He not found thee an orphan, and given thee shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And He found thee in need, and made thee independent. 8 So do not oppress the orphan, 9 and do not reject the beggars 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
