The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
READ IN THE name of your Lord who created, 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 taught the human what he did not know. 5 Nay, verily, man becomes grossly overweening 6 for he believes himself to be self-sufficient. 7 truly, all will return to your Lord. 8 Have you seen the one who prohibits 9 A slave when he prayeth? 10 Did you consider: what if he is on the Right Way, 11 He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! 12 Hast thou considered whether he may [not] be giving the lie to the truth and turning his back [upon it]? 13 does he not know that Allah sees? 14 No indeed; if he does not desist, We shall drag him by the forelock; 15 by the lying forelock steeped in sin. 16 Then let him call his associates; 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 No! Do not obey him. But prostrate and draw near [to Allah]. ۩ 19
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
