And [subsequently] the king said, "Indeed, I have seen [in a dream] seven fat cows being eaten by seven [that were] lean, and seven green spikes [of grain] and others [that were] dry. O eminent ones, explain to me my vision, if you should interpret visions." 43 They said, "[It is but] a mixture of false dreams, and we are not learned in the interpretation of dreams." 44 After all that time, the one of the two who had been saved remembered, he said: 'I will interpret it for you, so let me go' 45 (And coming to the prison) he said: "O Joseph the truthful, tell us (the meaning of) seven fat cows being devoured by seven lean ones, and seven green ears of corn and seven seared, that I may go back to the people and tell them." 46 [Joseph] replied: "You shall sow for seven years as usual; but let all [the grain] that you harvest remain [untouched] in its ear, excepting only a little, whereof you may eat: 47 Then will come after that seven difficult [years] which will consume what you saved for them, except a little from which you will store. 48 "Then thereafter will come a year in which people will have abundant rain and in which they will press (wine and oil)." 49
