Al-Hijjr 2 of 6

We have set in heaven constellations and decked them out fair to the beholders, 16 And We have guarded it (near heaven) from every outcast Shaitan (devil). 17 Except the ones who listen on the sly, yet they are chased away by a shooting flame. 18 And the earth-- We have spread it forth and made in it firm mountains and caused to grow in it of every suitable thing. 19 And We have made in it means of subsistence for you and for him for whom you are not the suppliers. 20 For, no single thing exists that does not have its source with Us; and nought do We bestow from on high unless it be in accordance with a measure well-defined. 21 And We send the winds fertilising, and cause water to descend from the sky, and give it you to drink. It is not ye who are the holders of the store thereof. 22 And most surely We bring to life and cause to die and We are the heirs. 23 And indeed We know those among you who came forward and indeed We know those among you who remained behind. 24 Indeed your Lord will gather them all together. Surely He is All-Wise, All-Knowing. 25
