Moses said: "Lord! Open my breast for me; 25 and ease my task for me. 26 "And make loose the knot (the defect) from my tongue, (i.e. remove the incorrectness from my speech) [That occurred as a result of a brand of fire which Musa (Moses) put in his mouth when he was an infant]. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 16, Page 159]. 27 that they may understand my speech. 28 "And appoint for me a helper from my family, 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 Increase through him my strength 31 and let him share my task 32 That we may hallow Thee oft. 33 And may make mention of Thee oft. 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 when We inspired thy mother with this inspiration: 38 saying: "Put him in the box and cast it into the river. The river will cast him on to the bank, and he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his." I lavished My Love on you, and to be formed in My Sight. 39 What time thy sister was walking along and saying: shall I direct you unto one who will take care of him? Thus We returned thee to thy mother that she might cool her eyes and she might not grieve. And thou slewest a person, but We delivered thee from sorrow, and We tried thee with several trials. Then thou tarriedst for years among the people of Madyan then thou camest according to fate, O Musa! 40 And I chose you for Myself. 41 Go, you and your brother, with My signs, and do not be remiss in remembering Me. 42 Go ye twain unto Fir'awn, verily he hath waxen exorbitant, 43 "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear Allah." 44 'O our Lord' both said, 'We fear lest he may be excessive against us or become insolent' 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 So go to him and say, 'Indeed, we are messengers of your Lord, so send with us the Children of Israel and do not torment them. We have come to you with a sign from your Lord. And peace will be upon he who follows the guidance. 47 "'Verily it has been revealed to us that the Penalty (awaits) those who reject and turn away.'" 48 Pharaoh said, "Who then is the Lord of you both, Moses?" 49 He said, 'Our Lord is He who gave everything its creation, then guided it.' 50 Said Firaun, “What is the state of the former generations?” 51 Said Moses, 'The knowledge of them is with my Lord, in a Book; my Lord goes not astray, nor forgets -- 52 Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths etc.) for you therein; and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. 53 Eat and pasture your cattle: verily therein are signs for men of sagacity. 54
