And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 We said to him, “Strike the earth with your foot; this cool spring is for bathing and drinking.” (A spring gushed forth when he struck the earth – this was a miracle.) 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 [And finally We told him:] "Now take in thy hand a small bunch of grass, and strike therewith, and thou wilt not break thine oath!" for, verily, We found him full of patience in adversity: how excellent a servant [of Ours,] who, behold, would always turn unto Us! 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 In Our eyes they were of the chosen, virtuous people. 47 And remember Isma'il and Al-Yas'a and Zul-kifl; all of the excellent ones. 48 This is a Message (of admonition): and verily, for the righteous, is a beautiful Place of (Final) Return,- 49 #NAME? 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ And with them will be maidens of equal age with modest gaze. 52 This it is what you (Al-Muttaqun - the pious) are promised for the Day of Reckoning! 53 Lo! this in truth is Our provision, which will never waste away. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 hell will they have to endure - and how vile a resting-place! 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 And other torments, like thereof, conjoined. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They say, 'No, it is you have no Welcome; you forwarded it for us; how evil a stablishment!' 60 adding, "Our Lord, give double punishment to those who brought this upon us." 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 That most surely is the truth: the contending one with another of the inmates of the fire. 64
