And whatever strikes you of disaster - it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much. 30 You cannot thwart Him on the earth, and have no friend or helper apart from Him. 31 And among His signs are the ships that sail like [floating] mountains through the seas: 32 and if He wills, He stills the wind, and they remain motionless on its back. Surely in that are signs for every man enduring, thankful. 33 Or He may destroy them (by drowning) because of that which their (people) have earned. And He pardons much. 34 those who dispute Our signs shall learn that they have no escape. 35 That which you have been given is but the enjoyment of the present life. Better and more enduring is that which Allah has for those who believe and put their trust in their Lord. 36 who eschew grave sins and shameful deeds, and whenever they are angry, forgive; 37 Who obey the commands of their Lord and fulfil their devotional obligations, whose affairs are settled by mutual consultation, who spend of what We have given them, 38 who, when a wrong is done to them, seek its redress. 39 The guerdon of an ill-deed is an ill the like thereof. But whosoever pardoneth and amendeth, his wage is the affair of Allah. Lo! He loveth not wrong-doers. 40 And whosoever helps himself after he has been wronged -- against them there is no way. 41 The cause is only against the ones who wrong the people and tyrannize upon the earth without right. Those will have a painful punishment. 42 But indeed if any show patience and forgive, that would truly be an exercise of courageous will and resolution in the conduct of affairs. 43
