So exhort (them, O Prophet), for by your Lord's Grace, you are neither a soothsayer nor a madman. 29 Or do they say:- "A Poet! we await for him some calamity (hatched) by Time!" 30 Say thou: "Await ye!- I too will wait along with you!" 31 Is this what their senses tell them, or are they a rebellious people? 32 Do they say, "He has falsely invented it (the Quran)?" In fact, they themselves have no faith. 33 So let them bring a discourse like it, if they are truthful 34 Or were they created without there being anything, or are they the creators? 35 Have they created the heavens and the earth? In fact, they have no strong faith. 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Or do they have a ladder whereon they can climb and attempt to listen (to what is transpiring in the Higher Realm)? Then, let any of them who has listened to it produce a clear proof of it. 38 Hath He daughters and ye sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Or [do they think] that the hidden reality [of all that exists] is almost within their grasp, so that [in time] they can write it down? 41 Or do they desire a war? But those who disbelieve shall be the vanquished ones in war. 42 Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him) 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 Leave them then till they meet that day of theirs wherein they shall be made to swoon (with terror): 45 The Day when their guile shall not relieve them a thing, and they shall not be helped. 46 And there surely awaits the evildoers a chastisement beyond even that, but most of them know it not. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 And in the night-time also hymn His praise, and at the setting of the stars. 49
