Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Did not the news reach him, of that which is mentioned in the Books of Moosa? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This [Prophet] is a warner like the former warners. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
