Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I CALL TO WITNESS the Day of Resurrection, 1 and by the self-reproaching soul! 2 Thinketh man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Nay, We are able to put together in perfect order the very tips of his fingers. 4 In fact man wishes to commit evil in front of Him! 5 He asks, "When will be the Day of Judgment?" 6 When, then, the sight shall be confounded. 7 And the moon is buried in darkness. 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 upon that day man shall say, 'Whither to flee?' 10 No, there shall be no (place of) refuge. 11 on that Day, to your Lord alone is the recourse. 12 Man will be apprised, on that Day, of what he has done and what he has left undone: 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 Although he tender his excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 And when We read it, follow thou the reading; 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 And leave (neglect) the Hereafter. 21 Some faces on that Day will be fresh and resplendent, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 And some faces, that Day, will be sad and dismal, 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Never so, for when life withdraws into the clavicula, 26 And there will be a cry, "Who is a magician (to restore him)?" 27 And he knoweth that it is the parting; 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
