The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars shall dart down, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas rise, 6 when the souls are divided into different classes, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she was slain, 9 And when the pages are made public 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 And the Night as it dissipates; 17 and the morn as it softly breathes: 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 With authority there, (and) faithful to his trust. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 Assuredly he beheld him in the horizon manifest. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where then are you going? 26 Verily this is no less than a Message to (all) the Worlds: 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And ye will not, unless (it be) that Allah willeth, the Lord of Creation. 29

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
