Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the winds) that scatter dust. 1 And those who bear the load, 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 and execute the great task of apportioning (rainfall): 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 By the heaven with its numerous forms: 7 surely you speak at variance, 8 he is turned away from [the truth] who is destined to be so turned away. 9 Perish the conjecturers 10 Who are in a gulf (of ignorance) neglectful; 11 They ask, "When it will be the Day of Judgment?" 12 It will be on the day when they will be roasted in the fire. 13 Taste your burning: this is that which ye sought to be hastened. 14 The righteous shall live among gardens and fountains, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord has given them. Verily, they were before this Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 16 they would lie asleep during but a small part of the night, 17 And in the hours before dawn they would ask forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 And in the earth there are signs for those who are sure, 20 And in yourselves. Then will you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 So by oath of the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this Qur'an is the Truth, in the same language that you speak. 23
