The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 there is no denying its coming 2 It will bring low (some); (and others) it will exalt; 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 So that they become a scattered dust, 6 And ye will be three kinds: 7 Those of the right hand -- how (happy) will be those of the right hand! 8 And those on the left how (wretched) are those on the left! 9 And the preceders are the preceders. 10 They shall be near-stationed (to their Lord), 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 A multitude of those of old 13 And a few of the later peoples, 14 Seated on couches wrought in gold and encrusted with precious stones, 15 reclining upon them, set face to face, 16 They will be served by immortal boys, 17 With goblets, (shining) beakers, and cups (filled) out of clear-flowing fountains: 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 Also, they will be served with the fruits of their choice 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 like the pearls in their shells: 23 As reward for what they used to do. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 but only the tiding of inner soundness and peace. 26 The Companions of the Right Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Right Hand? 27 They will be in (the shade) of thornless lote 28 Among Talh trees with flowers (or fruits) piled one above another,- 29 And shade extended 30 near to flowing water 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 Unending, unforbidden, 33 And on couches or thrones, raised high. 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 And made them virgin - pure (and undefiled), - 36 Lovers, friends, 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
