Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
A. L. M. 1 These are the verses of the Wise Book, 2 Guidance and mercy for the righteous. 3 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]. 4 It is they who are on guidance from their Lord, and only they are the successful. 5 And of mankind is he who payeth for mere pastime of discourse, that he may mislead from Allah's way without knowledge, and maketh it the butt of mockery. For such there is a shameful doom. 6 For, whenever Our messages are conveyed to such a one, he turns away in his arrogance as though he had not heard them - as though there were deafness in his ears. Give him, then, the tiding of grievous suffering [in the life to come]. 7 Surely those who believe and do good deeds shall have Gardens of Bliss. 8 To dwell therein. The promise of Allah is true: and He is Exalted in Power, Wise. 9 He hath created the heavens that ye behold without pillars, and hath cast into the earth firm mountains lest it move away with you; and He hath scattered thereon every kind of animal. And We send down water from the heaven and We make grow every kind of goodly growth therein. 10 This is Allah's creation, but show Me what those besides Him have created. Nay, the unjust are in manifest error 11
