Hizb 46

Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 When he fled unto the laden ship, 140 So he shared (with them), but was of those who are cast off. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We caused him to be cast forth on to the beach, sick as he was, 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 And [then] We sent him [once again] to [his people,] a hundred thousand [souls] or more: 147 and [this time] they believed [in him] and so We allowed them to enjoy their life during the time allotted to them? 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 They have established a kinship between Allah and the angels; and the angels know well that these people will be arraigned (as culprits). 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 Not thus, however, [behave] God's true servants: 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 Except one who is (destined) to burn in Hell. 163 (Those ranged in ranks say): "Not one of us but has a place appointed; 164 And verily we! we are ranged in ranks. 165 And indeed, we are those who exalt Allah." 166 And surely they used to say: 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and that Our hosts shall triumph. 173 So, (O Prophet), leave them alone for a while, 174 And watch them, for they will soon see. 175 Would they hasten on Our doom? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 So turn (O Muhammad SAW) away from them for a while, 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Exalted is your Lord, the Lord of might, above what they describe. 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
