۞ And when the son of Mary was presented as an example, immediately your people laughed aloud. 57 And they say: Are our gods better, or is he? They do not set it forth to you save by way of disputation; nay, they are a contentious people. 58 He (Prophet Jesus) was only a worshiper whom We favored and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. 59 And if We willed, We could have established angels on the earth instead of you. 60 He is a sign of the Hour. Have no doubt about it. But follow me. This is a straight path; 61 Let not Satan hinder you (from believing in the Hour), for surely he is your open enemy. 62 When Jesus came with clear signs, he said, "Now I have come to you with wisdom, in order to make clear to you some of the things about which you dispute: therefore fear God and obey me. 63 "For Allah, He is my Lord and your Lord: so worship ye Him: this is a Straight Way." 64 The various factions among them differed -- woe then to those who did wrong: they will suffer the punishment of a painful Day. 65 Are they waiting (for any thing) but the Hour (of Doom) which would descend upon them suddenly, and catch them unawares? 66 Close friends will turn into enemies of one another on that Day, except the pious. 67
