The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun is wound up; 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 and when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the pages are made public 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 when Paradise shall be brought nigh, 13 [then] each soul shall know what it has put forward. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 The closing night, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 of power, given a rank by the Owner of the Throne 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 And without doubt he saw him in the clear horizon. 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where then are you going? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
