Thorns (Al-Masad)
5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Destroyed were the hands of Abu Lahab, and he lay utterly doomed. 1 What will his wealth avail him, and all that he has gained? 2 He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame 3 And his wife, the wood-carrier, 4 Around her neck will be a rope of palm fibre. 5
God the Almighty always says the truth.
