The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 They who are during their prayer humbly submissive 2 those who turn away from all that is frivolous; 3 And those who pay the Zakat. 4 who guard their privates, 5 Except before their mates or those whom their right hands possess, for they surely are not blameable, 6 But whoever seeks to go beyond that, these are they that exceed the limits; 7 And who are shepherds of their pledge and their covenant, 8 and those who attend to their prayers; 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Heirs of Paradise, they shall abide in it forever. 11 We created man from an essence of clay, 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 Then lo! after that ye surely die. 15 Then indeed you, on the Day of Resurrection, will be resurrected. 16 We have created seven heavens above you and have never been neglectful to Our Creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
