Say: My Lord! If Thou shouldst show me that which they are promised. 93 O my Lord, put me not among the people of the evildoers.' 94 And verily to shew them that wherewith We threaten them We are surely Able. 95 Respond to the injustice (done to you) with the better deed. We know best what they attribute to God. 96 And say "O my Lord! I seek refuge with Thee from the suggestions of the Evil Ones. 97 "And I seek refuge with Thee O my Lord! lest they should come near me." 98 (In Falsehood will they be) Until, when death comes to one of them, he says: "O my Lord! send me back (to life),- 99 so that perhaps I shall act righteously for the rest of my life." Although he will say so but his wish will never come true. After death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection. 100 And when the Horn is blown, on that Day their ties of kindred shall be no more, nor will they ask each other. 101 And those whose scales are heavy [with good deeds] - it is they who are the successful. 102 And those whose scales are light are those who lose their souls, in hell abiding. 103 The Fire will burn their faces, and they will therein grin, with their lips displaced. 104 'What, were My signs not recited to you, and you cried them lies?' 105 They will say: "Our Lord! Our wretchedness overcame us, and we were (an) erring people. 106 “Our Lord, remove us from hell – then if we do the same, we are the unjust.” 107 He will say: "Remain condemned in it, and do not speak to Me. 108 Indeed, there was a party of My servants who said, 'Our Lord, we have believed, so forgive us and have mercy upon us, and You are the best of the merciful.' 109 Then ye took them mockingly, so that they caused you to forget remembrance of Me, and at them ye were wont to laugh. 110 I have rewarded them this day for they were constant, and they have come to attainment." 111 They will be asked: "How long did you live on the earth in terms of years?" 112 They will reply. "We remained for about a day or part of it, but ask those who have kept count". 113 He will say: "Ye stayed not but a little,- if ye had only known! 114 Did you, then, think that We created you in mere idle play, and that you would not have to return to Us?" 115 So Exalted be Allah, the True King, La ilaha illa Huwa (none has the right to be worshipped but He), the Lord of the Supreme Throne! 116 One who worships things besides God has no proof of the authority of such things. God is certainly keeping the record of his deeds. The unbelievers will not have everlasting happiness. 117 And, [O Muhammad], say, "My Lord, forgive and have mercy, and You are the best of the merciful." 118
