Hizb 46
< random >
And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 when he fled like a runaway slave onto a laden ship. 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 He would have remained in its belly till the day when all will be raised. 144 ۞ So We cast him, sick, on a barren shore, 145 and We caused a gourd tree to grow over him. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 And they believed, so We gave them provision till a time. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Have We created the angels as females before their very eyes? 150 Now surely it is of their own lie that they say: 151 'God has begotten a son.' They are certainly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 “Or do you have some clear proof?” 156 “Then bring forth your Book, if you are truthful!” 157 And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinns, but the jinns know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be brought for accounts). 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So you and your deities 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 [The angels say], "There is not among us any except that he has a known position. 164 “And indeed we, with our wings spread, await the command.” 165 and we are of those who glorify Allah.” 166 They used to say: 167 "If we had a message from [those of] the former peoples, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 And indeed Our Word has already gone forth for Our bondmen who were sent. 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And most surely Our host alone shall be the victorious ones. 173 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from those [who deny the truth,] 174 And see them thou; they themselves shall presently see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 When it comes down on their plains, it will be an evil dawn for those who had been warned. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 and peace be upon the Messengers, 181 and praise be to God, the Lord of all the Worlds. 182
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
