The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ ABOUT WHAT do they [most often] ask one another? 1 About the great tidings! 2 Concerning which they are in disagreement. 3 No indeed; soon will they come to know; 4 Nay, again, they will come to know! 5 Have We not spread the earth like a bed, 6 The mountains tent-pins? 7 And (have We not) created you in pairs, 8 and gave you repose in sleep, 9 and made the night [its] cloak 10 and made the day to seek livelihood, 11 And We have built above you seven strong (heavens), 12 And placed a lamp therein brightly burning. 13 And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water, 14 so that We may bring forth thereby grain and a variety of plants, 15 and gardens dense with foliage. 16 Verily, the Day of Decision is a fixed time, 17 It is a Day whereon the trumpet will be blown, and ye will come in multitudes. 18 And the heaven will be opened – it therefore becomes like gates. 19 The mountains put in motion turning into a mirage. 20 Lo! hell lurketh in ambush, 21 For the transgressors a place of destination: 22 there, they shall live for ages, 23 They shall not taste therein cool nor drink 24 Except hot boiling water and hot pus discharged from the people of hell. 25 a fitting requital, 26 Indeed, they did not hope for a Reckoning, 27 and they cried loud lies to Our signs; 28 but We have placed on record every single thing [of what they did]. 29 So taste (of that which ye have earned). No increase do We give you save of torment. 30

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
