Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 (Then) shall each soul know what it hath sent forward and (what it hath) kept back. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Nay! But you deny the Recompense (reward for good deeds and punishment for evil deeds). 9 you do so the while there are watchers over you; 10 noble scribes, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 whereas, behold, the wicked will indeed be in a blazing fire 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 How can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
