The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the night when it covers 1 By the day when it appeareth in glory, 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 Your striving is most surely (directed to) various (ends). 4 For him that gives and fears (Allah) 5 And believeth in goodness; 6 We shall surely ease him to the Easing. 7 And as for him who stinteth and is heedless, 8 And denied the best matter, 9 Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. 10 His wealth will not avail him when he falls into ruin. 11 Indeed, [incumbent] upon Us is guidance. 12 and to Us belong the hereafter and the worldly life. 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 where none shall burn except the most wicked, 15 even he who cried lies, and turned away; 16 Far removed from it will be the righteous 17 who spend for the cause of God and purify themselves. 18 And no one has done a favour to him, for which he should be compensated. 19 But only seeking the Countenance of his Lord the Most High. 20 And indeed, soon he will be very pleased. 21
Almighty God's Truth.
