Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 until you come to the graves. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 Again, ye shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
