Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 These are revelations of the wise Scripture, 2 And a guidance and grace for those who do good, 3 Who establish prayer and give zakah, and they, of the Hereafter, are certain [in faith]. 4 Those are upon guidance from their Lord; those are the prosperers. 5 But among men there are some who spend their time in idle diversions only to lead people astray from the path of God, and without knowledge, hold it up to ridicule: for such there is a humiliating punishment in store. 6 And when Our Verses (of the Quran) are recited to such a one, he turns away in pride, as if he heard them not, as if there were deafness in his ear. So announce to him a painful torment. 7 Surely those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness, there awaits them Gardens of Bliss 8 Wherein they abide eternally; [it is] the promise of Allah [which is] truth. And He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars that ye can see; He set on the earth mountains standing firm, lest it should shake with you; and He scattered through it beasts of all kinds. We send down rain from the sky, and produce on the earth every kind of noble creature, in pairs. 10 This is God's creation; now show me what those have created that are apart from Him! Nay, but the evildoers are in manifest error. 11
