Victory (Al-Fatt-h)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Truly, We have granted you a clear victory 1 That Allah may forgive your community their past faults and those to follow and complete His favor to you and keep you on a right way, 2 And [that] Allah may aid you with a mighty victory. 3 It is He who sent down the Shechina (tranquillity) into the hearts of the believers, that they might add faith to their faith -- to God belong the hosts of the heavens and the earth; God is All-knowing, All-wise -- 4 That He may admit the men and women who believe, to Gardens beneath which rivers flow, to dwell therein for aye, and remove their ills from them;- and that is, in the sight of Allah, the highest achievement (for man),- 5 and that He might punish the hypocrites and the idolaters, both men and women, and those who think evil thoughts of Allah. An evil turn (of fortune) will befall them. The Wrath of Allah is on them, and He has cursed them and prepared for them Gehenna (Hell), an evil arrival! 6 To Allah belong the armies of the heavens and the earth. Allah is the Almighty and the Wise. 7 Surely We have sent you as a witness and as a bearer of good news and as a warner, 8 That ye (mankind) may believe in Allah and His messenger, and may honour Him, and may revere Him, and may glorify Him at early dawn and at the close of day. 9 Verily, those who give Bai'a (pledge) to you (O Muhammad SAW) they are giving Bai'a (pledge) to Allah. The Hand of Allah is over their hands. Then whosoever breaks his pledge, breaks only to his own harm, and whosoever fulfills what he has covenanted with Allah, He will bestow on him a great reward. 10
