The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the mansions of the stars, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 THEY DESTROY [but] themselves, they who would ready a pit 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 They sat by it 6 And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them). 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and earth. And Allah is the Witness of all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 He it is Who creates for the first time and He it is Who will create again, 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 the Executor of what He wills. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 And Allah, all unseen, surroundeth them. 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
