Therefore remind! by thy Lord's blessing thou art not a soothsayer neither possessed. 29 If they say, "He is but a poet; we are waiting for some misfortune to befall him," 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting – I too am waiting along with you.” 31 Or, do their intellects order them to do this? Or, are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 Let them bring a discourse like thereunto, if they say sooth. 34 Or were they created out of nothing? Or are they the creators? 35 Or, did they create the heavens and the earth? No, their belief is not certain! 36 Or do they have your Lord's treasures in their keeping? Or have absolute authority over them? 37 Or have they a ladder whereon they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Or has He only daughters and ye have sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Or that the Ghaib (unseen) is with them, and they write it down? 41 Or do they intend a plan? But those who disbelieve - they are the object of a plan. 42 Or have they a deity other than Allah? Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him. 43 And if they were to see a fragment of the heaven falling, they would say: A heap of clouds. 44 So, leave them until they face their day (of doom) when they will be stunned. 45 A Day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all, nor will they be succoured. 46 But, verily, for those who are bent on doing evil, there is suffering in store [even] closer at hand than that [supreme suffering in the hereafter]: but most of them are not aware of it. 47 And wait thou patiently the judgment of thy Lord; verily thou art before Our eyes; and hallow the praise of thy Lord when thou uprisest. 48 And proclaim His Purity during the night, and when the stars turn back. 49
