And when Allah made a covenant through the prophets: Certainly what I have given you of Book and wisdom-- then an apostle comes to you verifying that which is with you, you must believe in him, and you must aid him. He said: Do you affirm and accept My compact in this (matter)? They said: We do affirm. He said: Then bear witness, and I (too) am of the bearers of witness with you. 81 Then whosoever shall turn away from this covenant they are the transgressors. 82 Is it then other than Allah's religion that they seek (to follow), and to Him submits whoever is in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly, and to Him shall they be returned. 83 Say, "We have believed in Allah and in what was revealed to us and what was revealed to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and the Descendants, and in what was given to Moses and Jesus and to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [submitting] to Him." 84 Whoso desires another religion than Islam, it shall not be accepted of him; in the next world he shall be among the losers. 85 How would God bestow His guidance upon people who have resolved to deny the truth after having attained to faith, and having borne witness that this Apostle is true, and [after] all evidence of the truth has come unto them? For, God does not guide such evildoing folk. 86 What they will gain will be the condemnation of God, the angels, and all people, 87 In this state they shall abide forever; their punishment shall not be lightened nor shall they be granted respite. 88 Except those who repent after that and amend, then surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. 89 Those who deny, having once come to faith, and persist in denial, will not have their repentance accepted, for they have gone astray. 90 Those who disbelieved and died as disbelievers – an earth full of gold will never be accepted from any one of them, even if he offers it, for his freedom; for them is a painful punishment and they do not have any aides. 91
