Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 The living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
