Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars become dispersed, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O man! What is it that lures you away from your bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you then formed your symmetry, then gave you right proportion, 7 In whatever form He willed, He put you together. 8 Yet you deny the Last Judgement. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Honourablel scribes. 11 They know all that you do. 12 As for the Righteous, they will be in bliss; 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They shall enter it on the Day of Recompense 15 And they (Al-Fujjar) will not be absent therefrom (i.e. will not go out from the Hell). 16 What will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 17 Again: what will make you realize what the Day of Judgement will be? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
