Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
A. L. M. 1 There is no doubt that this Book is revealed by the Lord of the Universe. 2 Or do they say: He has forged it? Nay! it is the truth from your Lord that you may warn a people to whom no warner has come before you, that they may follow the right direction. 3 God is He that created the heavens and the earth, and what between them is, in six days, then seated Himself upon the Throne. Apart from Him, you have no protector neither mediator; will you not remember? 4 He directs the affair from heaven to earth, then it goes up to Him in one day, whose measure is a thousand years of your counting. 5 Such is He, the Knower of all things, hidden and open, the Exalted (in power), the Merciful;- 6 He Who has made everything which He has created most good: He began the creation of man with (nothing more than) clay, 7 He made His offspring come into existence from an extract of insignificant fluid, 8 Then He created him and (caused the angel to) breathe into him his (created) spirit. He gave you eyes and ears, and hearts, yet little do you thank. 9 And they say: when we are vanished in the earth, shall we then be raised in a new creation? Aye! in the meeting with their Lord they are disbelieving. 10 ۞ Say: 'The Angel of Death, who has been given charge of you will gather you then to your Lord you shall be returned' 11
